Care of domestic pets
Most of the problems that are encountered are caused by ignorance. Many animals suffer from dreadful deformities of the hoof because their owners know very little about proper foot care. Vets teach the owners the importance of good farriery by holding informal training sessions where they are invited to watch a video on foot trimming and good shoeing practices. The vets then answer questions in a discussion session before giving the owners a free hoof pick to enable them to put theory into practice.
